Food Service members earns ServSafe certification

Recently MCSD Child Nutrition Director, Sandy Wallace, Child Nutrition Field Supervisor, Amanda Pruitt, along with School Cafeteria Managers, Amanda Hatcher (Clio Elementary), Tabitha Bingham (Marlboro County High), Christie Fields (McColl Elementary Middle), Terri Love (Blenheim Middle School of Discovery), Agenia Quick (Bennettsville Primary) and Tiffany Clark (Bennettsville Intermediate) received ServSafe training certificates.  ServSafe is a food and beverage safety training and certificate program administered by the U.S. National Restaurant Association.

ServSafe Certification prepares restaurant and hospitality employees with the expertise needed to safely prepare and serve food products to patrons.  The program is accredited by ANSI and the Conference for Food Protection.

All of these ladies were recognized and presented “Top Dawg” awards at the December School Board Meeting.  Please be sure to congratulate them when you see them!  Lunches have greatly improved; more students are eating school lunch than in the past and these ladies are one of the main reasons for that change. #345
